15. Blamed her?✨

Aarohi's POV :

The next three days passed in the blink of the eyes. I was scared of the dark because once I was kidnapped when I was little. Since then I am scared of the dark as they kept me in a very dark room where they used to hit me. I shivered at the memory.

In these past three days Vayansh took care of me as if I had a heart attack and I needed bed rest. The first day he didn't even go to his office and worked from home. Kashvi told me he has never done that before and she teases me for it.

I felt butterflies in my stomach but I won't admit it. His little care can't make me forget whatever had happened before.

He was the reason I needed the rest in the first place so maybe he felt guilty for that. It doesn't mean he cares about me.

His family is so good to me too. They really treats me like their own daughter. I don't know why he hates them so much especially his mother. They even deeply care about him too but he is a rude devil who don't care about nor loves anyone.

Today, He went to his office after instructing me to take care about myself and not try to run away as usual to which I just rolled my eyes and he glared at me.

I was with Kashvi and Chachi when I heard a commotion suddenly making me confused.

Mumma came towards us. Yes, I started to call her mumma after Vayansh told me not to call her ma.

She worriedly said "Kalyani ji is coming."

Chachi also looked worried now and she asked "Didi is coming? When?"

"In an hour." Mumma said.

I confusedly looked at them and Kashvi shakes her head in disappointment too.

So I asked "What happened? Who is coming?"

Mumma looked at me and said worriedly "Aarohi, Kalyani ji is Vayansh's bua. She didn't knew that Vayansh got married and she is so angry to know that as we didn't even informed her about that."

I gulped and asked "Is she scary?"

Kashvi chuckled and said "Not more than bhai. If you can handle bhai than you can also handle her."

Chachi glared at kashvi and said "Aarohi, don't worry, beta. She is good with the people she likes. She just... try to find ways to shout at others."

I was scared now. What if she doesn't like me? Will she be angry at me too?

Mumma said while smiling "Aarohi, you should quickly go and get ready too as you are first time meeting her. Should I help you wear a saree today?"

I gladly nodded and she not only helped me but also teach me how to wear a saree.

After a while, As we heard buaji arrived everyone gathered in the hall to welcome her. Chacha, Advik and Vayansh were not here as they had work to do.

Suddenly I saw a kid coming from the door while smiling widely. He ran towards everyone and papa took him in his arms.

Looking at my confused expression Arnit said "He is Varun, bua's grandson."

Just then an elderly lady came in and mumma, papa and Chachi touched her feet. I hesitately go near her and touched her feet too.

She asked in a stern voice "Is this the girl?"

I gulped and Papa said "Didi, She is Aarohi, Our daughter-in-law and Vayansh's wife."

She looked at me up and down making me feel conscious.

She suddenly said "This is Vayansh's choice? What is her background? A middle class girl? You made a commoner the daughter-in-law of this house?"

Her each word pitched in my heart, I wanted to say many things like I also didn't want to marry him but I held myself.

Papa said "Don't talk like this, didi. She is now our daughter-in-law."

She scoffed like she didn't care. She said "I think the downfall of Rathore legacy is near if you think it's ok for a common girl to be Vayansh's bride."

We heard a stern voice "You don't have to worry about the Rathore legacy, bua. I will make sure the Rathore's always stay ahead of everyone as they are now. Moreover, My wife is not a common girl. She is special, very special as she is the future queen of Rajasthan."

I felt goosebumps erupt on my skin at his tone and words. Future queen.

Bua ji looked at Vayansh and said "It's not Right, Vayansh."

Vayansh said "It's none of your concern."

Papa suddenly meddled in middle and said "Come didi. Come inside, you must be tired."

She nodded and ignored Vayansh's words. She glared at me and moved into the hall.

Vayansh came by my side and whispered "Don't listen to her."

I looked at him for longer than needed.

Everyone talked and me and Chachi helped in serving everyone kheer which I made. Mumma told me to do that to impress her but she didn't looked impressed at all instead Varun said "It's tasty."

I smiled at him. He is such a cute kid. Even though he is just five, he is very smart.

Than everyone got busy and Vayansh already went to his office which I got to know is just adjacent to our room.

Varun said to me "You are the devil's wife?"

I raised my eyebrows as I asked amusedly "Devil?"

He said as if it is a matter of fact "Vayansh Singh Rathore, The devil."

I chuckled at him and nodded "Yes. I am but why are you calling him devil? Even though he is but you shouldn't call him that."

He shrugged and said "You agree with me. Can I call you Aaru? Your name is Aarohi, right?"

I felt as if I am at home as my parents calls me Aaru too. I smiled at him and nodded.

After sometime I took him with me to eat some chocolates as Vayansh buy me some when he got to know I love sweets. I also got to know he hates sweets, like seriously! Who can even hate something so good?!

Since Me and Varun are friends now so I can share them with him.

Varun stayed with me almost the whole day. We had fun with Arnit and Kashvi.

Bua ji taunted me saying I don't look like a daughter-in-law staying with kids the whole day but mumma supported me and said she is also our child which made my heart swell in love for her.

It's true, I am even younger than Arnit and Kashvi in age. What will I do sitting with her but I tried and she didn't said anything except taunting me.

Vayansh even told me if she say anything to me I should inform him immediately to which I nodded. Oh God! I nearly forgot I hate him!!

Author's POV :

The next day was the usual but with the glares of bua ji on Aarohi.

In the evening, she went to bua Ji's room to give her milk.

She asked Aarohi "Why did you marry Vayansh? You wanted to trap a rich man and when you got an opportunity you trapped a prince?"

Aarohi wanted to say many things but held herself as she didn't wanted to disrespect her.

She said politely "Bua ji Why don't you ask Vayansh what he saw in me?"

Kalyani looked at her fuming in anger and taking the opportunity Aarohi leave her room.

She don't usually talk to anyone like this but when someone raise a finger on her character she can't just stay silent.

Here Kalyani was thinking about a plan to humiliate Aarohi as she humiliated her. She opened a cupboard and took her heavy gold necklace out. She smirked thinking her plan.

She quietly went to Vayansh and Aarohi's room and put the necklace in the drawer hiding it beneath a few medicines kept there which belonged to Aarohi as Devyani told her that Aarohi was week a few days ago and had to take some medicines.

She smirked and went to the hall and started shouting. Everyone gathered there worried at what happened.

Kalyani said acting worried "My necklace is missing. It is a very heavy gold necklace and costs a fortune."

Devyani said worriedly "You must have kept it somewhere and forgot it, didi."

Kalyani angrily said "No, I am sure, someone has stole it from me. I want every servants to be checked for that."

Veerendra who was worried also said "The royal servants are loyal didi. No one will do that."

She said "Oh! Now you don't believe me?"

Veerendra said "It's not like that. If you want than fine."

He called the security and have them checked all the servants and even the servant quarter checked. They looked around the whole mansion but didn't find anything.

Veerendra said "Happy now. Didi you must have kept it in your room or maybe you didn't even brought it here."

She sternly said "Wait. Someone is still left to be checked yet."

Veerendra asked confusedly "Who?"

She said pointing out at Aarohi "Aarohi. She is also a commoner. Stealing is in the blood of people like her."

Aarohi was shocked hearing that and before she could even say anything Veerendra speaks angrily "Enough! Didi, you even realised what are you saying? She is our bahu, you can't point out fingers on her."

"She was the last one who came to my room. Why won't I doubt her?"

Aarohi stands for herself "I came to your room but it didn't mean I have stolen your necklace. I haven't even seen it."

Varun also stands for her "Dadi, Aaru was with me the whole time. You can't blame her. Stealing is bad thing and my Aaru is a good girl."

Kalyani angrily said "Shut up, Varun. Don't speak when elders are talking."

Varun flinched as his dadi have never shouted at him like this. Aarohi tried to grab him but he ran away to his dadi's room.

Meenakshi said this time "You shouldn't have shouted at Varun, didi. Your necklace is lost. It's ok. We will find it. You should calm down first."

Kalyani said "I will not calm down until I find it and I know this cheap girl has stolen it."

Here Kalyani was accusing and humiliating Aarohi and there Varun went to his dadi's room and searched for her phone. He finds Vayansh's number and calls him while crying.

He thought 'Dadi shouted at me and Aaru, Now I will tell the devil to scare her too. He scares everyone.'

Vayansh picked up the call and heard the crying sound of Varun.

He frowned and before he could say anything Varun said in his crying tone "Devil, come home fast. You scares everyone so please come and scare dadi too."

Vayansh was confused and said "I am busy, Varun. Go and annoy someone else."

As Vayansh was about to hang up the call, Varun said "You are the devil and don't help others but you could at least help me and Aaru. You brought chocolates for her yesterday, I and she will share it with you if you help us. I promise she won't deny-"

Before he could continue, Vayansh interrupted him "Why do you and Aarohi need help?"

He connected Varun's word and knew it has something to do with bua.

Varun wiped his tears and explained "Dadi is shouting at my Aaru and she even shouted at me when I said Aaru didn't do anything. She said Aaru had stolen but that's a bad habit and Aaru can't do that. Will you scare dadi?"

Vayansh's blood boiled hearing that. How dare she? She accused Aarohi of doing something so cheap?
