Aarohi's POV:
Jaisalmer is truly a beautiful place. I arrived here yesterday but I am already feeling like home here and why not when there are so much lively people here. Today when I wake up I decided to do the house chores quickly and give my bua her medicines. Now I am in the temple, as I was going to temple i decided to wear a simple baby pink suit. I used to visit this temple a lot whenever I come to visit my bua so I decided to come here daily as long as I am staying here.
I prayed and took prasad from pandit ji . It tastes so good. The temple is located near a forest which makes it look more beautiful. I was now looking at the flowers and plants surrounding the whole temple. I was so lost in looking at the beautiful flowers that I didn't even knew when I entered the forest area.
Suddenly I heard a voice making me scared but it was not a sound of any animal but something like someone is hitting on something so I go towards where the voice was coming from.
I gasped as I took in the view in front of me. There was a man hitting his fist on a tree. I flinched thinking it must hurt a lot as the bark of the tree was looking very rough.
I quickly ran towards him and said "Hey, You should stop. You will hurt yourself." But he didn't stop didn't even acknowledge me. Maybe he didn't hear me.
I didn't know what came into me but I grab onto his hand with my full force even after knowing I am no match of him. But still it did make him came to his sense and he stopped. He yank away his hand making me take a few steps back.
Than He looked at me making me freeze in my spot as he was looking at me with so much intensity.
He was beautiful with those perfect lips, nose, cheek bone and most importantly his eyes.. they are so dark that I can't find anything any emotions in it. Even perfectly dressed in a white shirt with no tie and above three buttons open with folded sleeves... Messy but perfect. He was more than a head taller than me. I was barely reaching his shoulders.
I suddenly came back to my sense , my neck red with embarrassement. How can I think like that..?
I looked at his now busted knuckles with his blood on it now. I frowned and said softly "You are hurt."
I looked in his eyes again and saw him still looking at me intensely. I again said coming closer to him "You are hurt. Let me see."
He suddenly come in his senses and looked at his knuckles than just shrugged and mumbled "It's nothing."
I frowned "How is it ok? Your knuckles are literally bleeding."
I go near him and grabbed his hand to examine it and quickly looked into my hand bag for my hanky. As I found my hanky, I wrapped it around his knuckles slowly trying not to hurt him. I am feeling his gaze on me the entire time, As I again looked at him I find him already staring at me confirming my thought. His gaze was intense like he wants to consume me , like he was trying to look into my soul but his face was expressionless.
I cleared my throat to save myself from the awkward situation.
I stepped back and tucked my hairs behind my ear nervously making his gaze follow my moment.
I said walking towards the same tree He was punching "You shouldn't be punching the tree, it not only hurt you but also the tree."
He raised his eyebrow and chuckled "You think the tree got hurt. Are you serious?"
I looked at him with accusing gaze and put my hands on my waist than said "Yes. They also feel pain just like us. So don't hurt them again, you get that."
He smiled slightly and than his smiled vanished as soon as it came. Was I hallucinating? He raised his hands in defeat making me smile now.
I asked "Why were you hitting the tree?"
His carefree gesture vanished and he looked so stiff now with his face looking angry now. He said "I was Angry."
I asked "Why?"
Realising i shouldn't be interfering in anyone's personal life I immediately said "Oh, I am sorry! I shouldn't be asking that. You must have your reason."
He again looked at me for too long and than shrugged.
There was silent between us for sometime as no one speak. I looked at the view from the cliff as i realised we are near a cliff. It was peaceful and beautiful. After sometime I said "I should go now."
When he didn't reply i awkwardly walk towards the way I came from. Than I realised I didn't even know the way back so I turned around finding him still looking at me. I awkwardly asked "Uhhmm.... Do you know the way back? Actually I didn't realise how I came here, I was just looked around at the flowers."
He said "Are you a child that you got lost in something and forgot the way?"
I frowned feeling offended and said "I am not a child, Ok? It was just... Just I didn't paid much attention."
He shrugged and said "Same thing. Why were you here? Are you alone?"
I answered ignoring his first comment "I came to the temple as i have decided to come here daily as long as I am here and yes I came alone."
His eyebrows furrowed and he asked "What do you mean as long as you are here?"
I replied "I came to Jaisalmer at my Bua's house."
He than asked "How long will you be here in Jaisalmer?"
I asked crossing my arms in front of me "Why are you so interested in knowing about me and why should I tell you when I don't even know your name?"
His gaze flattered to my chest when I cross my hand but quickly returned to my eyes when he said "Vayansh, My name.. now tell me how long will you stay here and where do you actually live than?"
My stomach did a flip-flop hearing his name. Vayansh i repeated his name in my mind and than answered him "I don't know. Actually I am here because my bua is sick so I will go back to jodhpur where I live when she recovers."
"And also I am Aarohi.... Aarohi Jaiswal." I said smiling at him now.
I told him my name but he didn't said anything just again stare at me so I finally asked "Why are you staring at me like this?"
He asked still looking lost in me "Like what?"
I hesitately said "Like.... Like you know like what."
He suddenly said out of nowhere "You have a beautiful name, Aarohi."
Oh my god! He said that making me blush now.
I said changing the topic as i didn't want to make a fool out of myself "Are you going to show me the way back or not?"
He said shrugging "What if I say I also don't know the way back?"
I frowned and said "What? Than how did you come here?"
He again just shrugged making me annoyed. I said "Will you speak instead of just shrugging?"
He said "How about we sit here for sometime and I might remember the way back?"
I glared at him and declared "So you know the way back."
He again just freaking shrugged. I am going to kill him if he just shrugged one more time.
He said "I won't do that again if you don't like it just don't plan on killing me, darling."
My eyes widened "H..how did you know?"
He smirked and said "I can read your expressions, you are like an open book."
Before I could say anything else his phone rang and his expressions turned hard as he picked up the phone. He turned towards the cliff view and talk which couldn't hear then he again turned now his face serious, gone that man who was looking like a normal person. Now he again looked scary.
He speak "I have to go now. Come, I will show you the way back."
I nodded and he started walking in a direction making me follow him.
As we reached outside I said "Thankyou"
He looked at me and nodded than said "Children shouldn't roam around like this so from the next time either bring someone with you to watch over you or pay more attention towards where you are going."
Saying this he started to walk away making me shockingly looked at him.
I almost screamed "Hey, Wait! I said I am not a child."
In response he just wave his hand in the air like he freaking don't believe me.
I frowned and mumbled "I am not a child. I am already 20 years old."
I sighed and take auto to my Bua's house.
I don't know what happened but I couldn't stop thinking about him the whole day. He was something I couldn't understand. I even thought about why he was so angry and than he became normal like nothing happened and than with just one phone call he again turned like before.
Even at night I slept while thinking about him. His beautiful dark black eyes, those perfect features and his deep, dark voice. Mostly his gaze, like he never wants to look away.
